Joshua Hampl brings a distinctive combination of technical expertise, healthcare domain knowledge, and operational experience to his leadership of Monarch Health Systems. Over the course of a decade at Nationwide Children's Hospital (NCH), he designed and implemented enterprise applications spanning a wide range of clinical and operational functions — including tools critical to the hospital’s COVID-19 response. His work has earned institutional recognition and multiple grants for innovation. He has led development of the Monarch Platform since its inception at NCH in 2017.

Dr. Gail Besner is a surgeon-scientist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University, and Co-Founder of Monarch Health Systems. She has led transformative research in pediatric surgery for over 30 years, particularly in developing therapies for intestinal diseases such as necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). A nationally and internationally recognized leader, she has received numerous honors, including the 2025 Medallion for Scientific Achievement from the American Surgical Association. Dr. Besner has authored over 220 publications and continues to play a prominent role in surgical and research leadership across the country.

Jami Murnane is the Program Manager for Children's Surgery at Nationwide Children's Hospital where she has facilitated two successful Level 1 Children’s Surgery Verifications. Jami also serves as a site reviewer for the American College of Surgeons and is a nationally recognized leader is Quality & Patient Safety.

Dr. Brian Kenney is a pediatric surgeon at Nationwide Children’s Hospital with a focus on quality and safety in pediatric surgical care. He served as the Medical Director of Children’s Surgery, leading the hospital to its first and second successful Level 1 Children’s Surgery Verifications. Dr. Kenney is a long-time member of the American College of Surgeons Data Committee and currently serves as the Pediatric Surgery Director of Quality.
