How does Monarch differ from an Event Reporting System
(ERS)?
Event Reporting Systems are great for surfacing events, but often
lack the flexibility and tools necessary to identify root cause
and implement long-term resolutions of the underlying system
failures. Typically, we see that the most severe events surfaced
by an ERS are sent to Monarch for further review and analysis,
along with events from other sources.
What are the use-cases for Monarch?
Event Review, in particular when there are multiple levels (secondary, tertiary) or
branching pathways of review.
Morbidity & Mortality (M&M) Conference.
Medication Safety.
Meeting Verification / Accreditation Requirements (e.g., Children's Surgery
Verification).
Building a High Reliability Environment.
Is our data in the cloud?
No, Monarch is installed "on-prem" in your health system's data
center and managed by your IT teams. Each customer has their own
installation. Data is not pooled or shared.
